Chicken Marinade 3 Ways

I went digging through my Mom’s recipe box again for some inspiration, and I was excited to see a card simply labeled Chicken Marinade.

3 different Chicken Marinade recipes, perfect for chicken, fish, or any other meat ... Straight from my Mama's recipe box!

It is stained with brown splashes, and I can just picture her putting together some chicken freezer bags! I sure do miss that lady.

So, I thought I’d share her chicken marinade recipes with you to try at home! These are for about 2 pounds of meat, but you can multiply or divide as necessary to fit your needs.

Try out these awesome zipper bag holders, I’ve used them for years and LOVE them!!

For each of these marinades, add all the ingredients to a zipper bag that is big enough to hold your chicken. Leave your chicken bags in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but overnight is even better. On cook day, you can grill these for an amazing flavor, or cook them stove top or in the oven.

Chicken Marinade #1

¼ Cup Sprite

¼ cup dry sherry

¼ cup soy sauce

3 Tbsp sugar

3 Tbsp vinegar

½ tsp garlic

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

Chicken Marinade #2

½ cup lemon juice

¼ cup Worcestershire sauce

1 cup vegetable oil

¾ cup soy sauce

¼ cup mustard

2 cloves garlic, minced

Chicken Marinade #3

½ cup vegetable oil

½ cup soy sauce

2 tsp pepper

2 tsp dry mustard

2 Tbsp vinegar

1 onion, sliced

1 clove garlic, minced

3 Tbsp chopped candied ginger

I love this little look into my Mom’s daily life, and her recipe box is one of my greatest treasures from her.

I hope you enjoy these marinades as much as I do!! Let me know what you think.
